Circuit Project

In the autumn of 2019 we, as a circuit, were challenged to work towards becoming an Eco-circuit using the resources provided by A Rocha. To achieve this goal each church in the circuit was to appoint an Eco-champion and the circuit appointed the Revd Dr Peter Levitt to the role of Circuit Eco Support and Adviser. He has begun the process of helping the Eco-champions to achieve the Bronze award in each of the churches. There are five areas of the life of the local church to assess: Worship & Teaching, Buildings, Land, Community & Global Engagement, Lifestyle. This is, of course, only the beginning of a long process aiming to contribute to the reduction of emissions harmful to our environment but we recognise the urgency of acting now in the face of a real climate emergency threatening our Home, planet Earth, and all its inhabitants.
