The result of the vote at Conference in June on Marriage and Relationships Report, 'God in Love Unites Us' was 254 in favour – 46 against. This means that, in principle, the Methodist Church of Great Britain consents to the marriage of same-sex couples on Methodist premises throughout the Connexion and by Methodist Ministers.Conference also voted in favour(253 for-38 against) a resolution to recognise, accept and celebrate the love and commitment of unmarried cohabitating couples.
